The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal Municipality. The administration has about 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and local services, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer service.

City Maintenance has about 150 employees who manage the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's public environments. We are responsible for properties, streets, parks, and green spaces, as well as other areas both indoors and outdoors. Through our work, we contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant city for residents and visitors.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a landscape architect who wants to help develop Mölndal. In this role, you will play a central role in the infrastructure project Railway in Mölndal, where a new railway will be built between Gothenburg and Borås.

You will work with detailed plans related to the construction of the railway and may also work on other municipal projects, such as the development of parks, playgrounds, and other green spaces.

Depending on your experience and profile, you may be responsible for your own projects, such as the restoration of park environments or the establishment of activity areas. The work also includes calculations and cost estimates. Projects are then implemented either in-house or through contracted entrepreneurs.

The work involves close collaboration with various units within the administration, other administrations, and municipal residents. You will serve as support for the operations managers and work together with the department's operational staff to ensure that the environments created are sustainable and easy to maintain.

In the projects you are responsible for, you will be an important link between planning and implementation. As a landscape architect, you will also participate in larger investment and development projects to ensure that the administration's perspective is taken into account. Additionally, you may represent the organization in various projects and working groups, for example, in stormwater management and climate adaptation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained landscape architect or has another education and experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have several years of professional experience with experience in detailed planning work. If you also have experience with infrastructure projects, that is an advantage. You enjoy having many internal and external contacts and are driven to create well-functioning collaborations in complex contexts. Since the position involves a lot of dialogue with contractors, operational staff, citizens, property owners, and other municipal officials, it is important that you are outgoing and communicative.

To succeed in the role, you need to be responsible, driven, and have a strong interest in green issues. You also have the ability and willingness to develop both yourself and others.

The work requires you to switch between detailed planning and more strategic, overarching tasks, where you actively participate in developing the goals. You have a good ability to structure your work, deliver results on time, and take responsibility for the follow-up of ongoing and completed projects.

It is advantageous if you have good design skills and plant knowledge. Since Mölndal Municipality works with a high degree of digitalization, you need to have good digital skills and be a proficient user of CAD. Experience with other digital tools such as GIS, Photoshop, and InDesign is a plus. A B driver's license is required.
