The Welfare Sector consists of four operations: disability services, home care and home health care, individual and family care, and care and nursing homes. The disability services carry out all the interventions regulated by LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons), which include special housing and daily activities as well as personal assistance.

The main task of the operation is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life for persons with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant in service housing, we work in the residents' homes to provide support, service, and care according to regulated interventions that fall within LSS. The focus in the operation is on low-arousal responses, and you will promote participation and independence through a structured and individualized approach.

Your responsibilities include collaborating with representatives, relatives, and other partners in the organization and in the community. The work involves documenting the implementation of the approved interventions for each user. Daily work requires you to follow up, analyze, and actively work on adapting the environment and approach in the user's everyday life, where it is important to create a calm and safe environment. You and your team will together promote a well-functioning everyday life for our users based on our fundamental values and working methods.

You will be part of a staff group that is scheduled according to the needs of the operation during days, evenings, weekends, and on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people with some form of disability and sees it as a given to always prioritize the best for the user.

You who apply have completed the nursing program, the child and leisure program, or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Experience in care, LSS, psychiatry, documentation, self-harming behavior, and low-arousal approaches is considered an advantage.

Many employees in Ulricehamn Municipality speak more than one language. This is a valuable asset, but it is also important to master Swedish as a primary language. To succeed in the job, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good documentation and computer skills.

To meet people with different issues and needs, you need to be attentive, have a high level of empathy, and be able to work in a structured manner. You have a situational and individualized approach. As a person, you are calm, stable, and have an easy time creating and maintaining relationships.
