  • About You

We know from experience that we will receive over 50 applicants. 1 will be hired. We will choose employees with great care. Therefore, we want to be clear that your application must truly show who you are and what you want to contribute to our group home.

If you are not passionate about working with people with mental disabilities - do not apply. The individuals living with us have autism combined with developmental disabilities. If you do not like that, it is of course perfectly fine, but please apply for another job. If you are unsure whether to apply for the job - do not do it. Are you a flexible person who can imagine working with anything - do not apply for this job. This job is not just any job. If the employment agency has told you that you must apply for a lot of jobs and you found our ad and feel forced to apply - do not apply to us. If you feel that your mobile phone is as important as, or more important than doing a good job, and that Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are part of your work tasks - do not apply. If you are unsure how a clock works, or have difficulty keeping time - do not apply. If you do not have suitable education or experience, or a strong desire to really learn - do not apply. If you do not meet the requirements - do not apply.

A tough introduction? Absolutely, but as a support worker, you are the representative and right hand of a person with disabilities. If you are the right person, we really look forward to receiving your application! It is of great importance that we hire the right people.

To thrive in the role of a support worker, you must enjoy actively working with people. We put the individual at the center, which requires you to express yourself clearly and adapt your way of communicating in different situations. We document all efforts made, which is why you should be fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing. You will work with individual support tailored to each resident's needs to create the best conditions for as independent a life as possible. Therefore, it is important that you are a stable and secure point for the residents. You are structured and quality-conscious and want to contribute to business development. You will be part of a fantastic team, and together with our residents, you will become a close-knit group that helps each other grow.

We see the group home Skogsgläntan as a place to develop, both for the residents and for the staff. We are a so-called BoDa operation (Residential and Daily Activity), which means that as an employee with us, you will also be responsible for daily activities and events during the day for our residents. We want you to have relevant education, but the most important thing for us is to place the right person in the right position. By relevant education, we mean, for example, a high school healthcare education, childcare worker, or a university degree in behavioral science. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. So if you feel that this could be a great job, you are warmly welcome to apply to us.

  • Your Responsibilities

As a support worker, your job will be to help our residents achieve a functioning everyday life with good care and stimulating leisure activities. We have 6 places, and with us, you will work both in the group home and in daily activities. Those who live with us are individuals with severe autism combined with developmental disabilities, which is a wonderfully stimulating but challenging group to work with. Common tasks may include cooking, taking residents out for activities, assisting them with ADL, and planning and implementing activities in our daily operations. You will support and guide in training and daily routines both inside and outside the home to provide the best conditions for a good life. We also work with contact person assignments, which means that you, as an employee with us, will have the ultimate responsibility for the contact with one of our residents' relatives and representatives. The tasks may vary from day to day, so it is important that you are attentive, proactive, and not afraid to pitch in when needed.

The group home is staffed 365 days a year, and the work is scheduled with varying days, evenings, and weekends. We work every other weekend. We have a sleeping night shift, which means that you sleep on the job but must be prepared to work if any of the residents need care.

  • Salary, Compensation, and Benefits

We follow the municipal collective agreement. The positions are full-time, but the working hours can be discussed based on individual preferences.

Start date by agreement. The positions will be filled continuously, so please send in your application as soon as possible.

We handle the recruitment ourselves and do not wish to be contacted by recruitment agencies.
