OP Assistans is looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant to a 10-year-old boy.

The client is a boy who is very lively, playful, active, and has a lot to share. He enjoys building with Lego, playing with transformers, and watching on his tablet. He likes to be outdoors and enjoys playing in the sandbox. During weekdays, he is at school and after-school care, where he does not have an assistant, so assistance is needed at other times. He lives in a house with his mother, stepfather, and younger sister.

The client has cerebral palsy, an intellectual disability, and a visual impairment. He communicates largely using alternative communication methods, such as body language and his own expressions, as a complement to verbal language. He uses a wheelchair or walker when outdoors, and indoors he crawls and needs support with transfers and dressing/undressing. He has a PEG and receives all nutrition via the button.

We are looking for someone who is calm but also has the desire to take the client on activities and can work motivationally.

Requirements

• Male

• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language

It is also advantageous if you

• Have experience working as a personal assistant, or in another profession within care/support

• Have experience working with children and in a family setting

• Have experience with cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, visual impairment, and/or tube feeding

• Have relevant education

Working hours and scope

The working hours are scheduled for days and evenings. Weekdays and weekends. We are looking for hourly substitutes who can work as needed a few hours per month. This job is suitable for someone who has another part-time job or is studying.

To be employed with us at OP Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service.
