The unit for social interventions consists of open care for children, youth & family, adult support & treatment, as well as relative center/relative support.

Job Description

The work as a field social worker with authority involves working preventively, outreach, and relationship-building with children and youth at risk of falling into crime, organized crime, substance abuse, and other socially destructive behaviors. You will meet children, youth, and their families in their environment, which can be in the neighborhood, at youth centers, or at school. It is a varied job, and you will work according to a rotating schedule that includes evening and weekend work to be available when the youth need our support. The assignment includes collaborating with open care based on needs.

Since this is a new role, it is important that you are confident in your role as a social worker and comfortable with developing new working methods.

We believe that collaboration between key parties is a success factor in helping children and youth and their families. In your role, you will closely collaborate with social services and other authorities such as police, schools, and cultural and recreational field assistants, as well as with the broader civil society. Through collaboration, we increase the opportunities to identify, initiate, and provide quick support where we have identified a need at an early stage.

You will be part of a workgroup along with other staff in open care and participate in various collaboration and meeting forums. We offer you collegial support in your daily work and close leadership from team leaders and unit managers.

Qualifications

You are a trained social worker with experience in authority functions. It is an advantage if you have work experience in the area of children and youth and are used to working with this target group. We prefer that you have previously worked within a municipality and are well acquainted with our mission and have experience in collaboration.

As a person, you are skilled at building relationships and trust with the people you meet. You have knowledge of prominent risk and protective factors related to children and youth. You are confident in assessing and handling situations with a stable and secure approach. You can work flexibly and proactively, and we value knowledge of low-arousal responses. You have an empathetic ability and a desire to help and find solutions.

Employment Conditions

Project employment for 1 year, full-time, with the possibility of extension if the project is extended through government funding.

Individual salary setting
A valid driver's license is a requirement for the position as it sometimes involves travel.
