At Vega Open Care, we offer psychosocial support and treatment services for residents aged 18 and older regarding addiction and dependency, domestic violence, and support for relatives. A colleague in the unit works part-time at Vega with the age group 18-25 years and norm-breaking behavior.

The work is carried out both through individual conversations and group activities. Some of the work also focuses on preventive and outreach activities. Our tasks are varied, and we have a flexible working method to meet the needs of individuals and the organization in the best way.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks at Vega are varied but mainly consist of therapeutic conversations, individually or in groups. We primarily work according to CBT-based methods, often manual-based such as Relapse Prevention and Conversations about Violence, but also CBT conversations and MI. We have external method supervision in CBT with a qualified supervisor.

In our daily work, we have close collaboration with the municipality's caseworkers and our open care colleagues in the unit to offer our clients close and cohesive support. We have regular treatment conferences for collaboration, and our premises are in the same building. As a therapist at Vega Open Care, you enjoy working independently but in close collaboration with your colleagues. You like to plan and carry out your work independently and take responsibility for documentation, follow-up, implementation plans, and treatment conclusions. You have a good understanding of the treatment process and change work as well as insight into the social services' case flow and are responsible for ensuring that the intervention is carried out in accordance with the assignment. You collaborate with colleagues in other IFOs and also with external partners based on the client's needs.

Some evening work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another education deemed equivalent by the employer, and who has relevant experience in psychosocial treatment work in open care. Basic psychotherapy training, such as step 1, and further education in treatment methods such as MI/MET, CRA, Relapse Prevention, CRAFT, Conversations about Violence, and Conversations about Freedom are meritorious.

You have experience in social work and an understanding that different people require different approaches, and can adapt your way of conveying your message to the individual's needs. You are calm and stable, and in stressful situations, you maintain focus on the right things, and even though there may be setbacks in the work, you have the ability to remain motivated and find solutions. As a person, you are flexible, with a good ability in structure and planning. You have a very good ability to collaborate and believe in the individual's ability to change.

Documentation and communication are a large part of our work, and you therefore need to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language. You must also have knowledge and familiarity with applicable legislation.

As the job involves some travel, a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is required.
