About the position

At Berga, it is never far from the classroom to practical work. Our school is located on a large farm and has an agricultural operation with crops, animals, machinery, and forest.

Our agricultural education is growing and has a high demand. We need to recruit teachers in crop production. The education is designed in consultation with leading actors in agriculture and prepares students for a future industry while giving them basic eligibility for further studies at university. During the students' three years at the school, they learn to run a farm with crops, animals, and machinery. The school offers everything students need for a broad and solid education in agriculture. The education focuses on animals, nature, technology, and sustainable development, and students learn everything from how to repair a tractor to which feed is best for a calf.

We are now looking for a teacher in crop production. Here you will have great opportunities to shape and develop our education. You are a solution-oriented person who enjoys developing the operations.

The work involves both practical and theoretical teaching in crop production and other courses that may suit you. The assignment and teaching can be shaped and combined according to your wishes to a large extent.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Desirable qualifications

• Knowledge of work on a farm

• Experience in educating young people

• Driving license category B with manual transmission

Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 50-100% employment rate. Start date according to agreement. To obtain employment within our school operations, a criminal record extract must be presented, which you can apply for via the police's website.

About us

Berga Agricultural High School is located in Västerhaninge, 30 kilometers south of Stockholm. We are owned and operated by Dille Gård AB. Berga is a high school with over 220 students, which includes an agricultural operation with associated animal stables, riding hall, and boarding school. The school offers high school education within the Natural Resource Program with specializations in Horse Management and Agriculture and has several profiles within these two specializations as well as Animal Care for dogs. We have a wonderful community in the staff group consisting of about 50 people.

The farm's area amounts to about 600 hectares of arable land, forest, and pasture, which makes the school’s location unique for Stockholm County, just 30 minutes by commuter train from Stockholm Central Station. We have an adapted machinery fleet, beef cattle, and sheep.
