Aeronautics offers aviation-related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aircraft structures, and services to defense customers and the civil aviation industry worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for the development, production, marketing, sales, and support of the Gripen system.

Your Responsibilities

As a quality engineer at Saab, you will play a key role in ensuring and improving the quality level of Saab's deliveries. Your main task is to investigate and coordinate deviations and quality issues to ensure that the supplier base delivers quality products, primarily to Gripen. You will do this through close collaboration with suppliers, production, and other internal functions at Saab. You are an integral part of purchasing project groups and work closely with procurement.

Examples of tasks:

• Ensure that suppliers meet quality requirements and specifications
• Receive, validate, create, follow up, and analyze quality reports
• Create control plans for Saab's receiving inspection
• Drive investigations together with adjacent functions

Your Profile

We are looking for a sociable person who has the ability to drive work forward. You are not afraid to ask questions, investigate, and engage with different functions to understand and solve problems. You work independently and take initiative while thriving in a collaborative environment where communication and curiosity are key factors for success.

We are looking for someone with an interest in and experience in design, quality, or procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Alternatively, you may have a background in production, where you have gained insight into production flows, processes, and the challenges that can arise during manufacturing.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant technical education • Knowledge of supplier quality assurance and quality assurance tools • Knowledge of production processes • Knowledge in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing • Experience with chemical processes

Proficiency in data handling and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for specific citizenship.
