About the Job

The role of a production engineer involves developing, improving, and ensuring efficient and quality-assured manufacturing processes for CNC machining. You work closely with operators, planning, and quality assurance to ensure stable and effective production that meets customer requirements. With your expertise in CAM and CNC programming, you create innovative machining strategies and are involved in the preparation of new articles.

The position is a permanent employment, and your work area is in Östergötland.

Examples of Responsibilities:

Analysis and development of manufacturing methods to reduce cycle times, improve quality, and reduce costs.
Create and optimize CNC programs.
Work with CAM programming.
Involved in the preparation of new articles.
Actively participate in strategic discussions regarding method development and technology investments.
Participate in customer/supplier dialogues regarding technical issues related to manufacturing.
Contribute to the work with quality deviations and process improvements.
Establish preparations, pre-calculations/post-calculations, method descriptions, and maintain article master data.
Create internal drawings and documentation in CAD systems for example for fixturing.
Conduct issuance, registration, and distribution of documentation within the work area.

Your Profile:

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

Solid experience in cutting machining and CNC technology.
Very good technical knowledge of materials, cutting tools, fixtures, measurement technology, cutting fluids, as well as heat and surface treatment.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
In-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM – it is an advantage if you have worked with MasterCam and Solidworks.
Experience in programming CNC machines, both via CAM systems and directly in ISO and Mazatrol languages.
Good knowledge of Office 365, primarily Excel, for analysis and compilation.
Understanding of cost calculations and production economics.
Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Have a valid driver's license (B).
