Project Engineer Program Mälarbanan
Job Responsibilities
Mälarbanan is an important part of the railway network, connecting Örebro, Västerås, and Enköping with Stockholm. It is also part of Stockholm's local commuter train network. The program includes approximately 20 kilometers of railway between Tomteboda and Kallhäll in northwestern Stockholm and is one of the country's busiest.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work with a wide variety of tasks. In the role of Project Engineer, you will support the project unit for Design and Production project managers. Your tasks will vary, including finance, contract monitoring, risk monitoring, participation in internal and external meetings, writing minutes, and other general project administrative tasks.
You will be a welcome colleague in our unit, which consists of an engaged team with a broad range of experience and knowledge. You will belong to one or more project groups and work together with them in a team. Here we help each other with the challenges we face, and you will both contribute your expertise to the team and have a chance to develop yourself. Additional Information
This recruitment process uses web-based tests as part of the selection. Interviews are planned to take place at the Swedish Transport Administration's office in Sundbyberg.

Qualifications
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you enjoy working proactively and have the ability to meet new challenges in a flexible and curious way. You are structured and self-driven in your approach to moving work forward, and you have strong analytical problem-solving skills. Furthermore, we see that you strive for effective collaboration and that with your attentiveness and communication skills, you can engage your surroundings and convey messages in a simple and clear manner.
We are looking for someone who has
- A university degree in a technical or economic field of at least 180 credits (120 points) or another educational background combined with relevant experience may be deemed equivalent
- Several years of current and relevant work experience as a project engineer/contract engineer or similar role. In this role, you have been involved in the following areas: scheduling, financial monitoring, risk management, and/or contract/agreement monitoring
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- Good knowledge of English in speech and writing
- A valid driver's license for passenger cars
It is advantageous if you have
- Experience working with any of the software programs LIME, Exonaut, C7, Sharepoint
- Experience working with various stakeholders, such as landowners and municipalities
- Experience in production or design of land and construction projects and/or railway projects in the near term
