Do you want to help shape the future of water supply in one of Sweden's most expansive municipalities? We are looking for a strategic and engaged Water Strategy Manager for Sundbyberg Waste & Water. An opportunity for you to combine societal benefit with long-term impact – where you can be involved from concept to reality.

About the position

As a Water Strategy Manager at Savab, you will be responsible for the strategic development work within our water operations. This means you will monitor and analyze new legal requirements, participate in urban planning processes, and develop governing documents such as water tariffs, technical standards, and operational areas. You will be an important support to our operational activities and collaborate closely with our business area managers, renewal planners, and other strategists within the company.

You belong to the business area of water and vacuum waste collection, the water unit, and work closely with both internal and external actors such as Sundbyberg Municipality, Stockholm Water and Waste, the Swedish Transport Administration, and the Region.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and updating governing documents such as water tariffs, ABVA, and technical water standards
  • Driving your own projects and investigations within water strategic issues and procuring support competencies
  • Participating in urban planning processes, e.g., comprehensive planning and water service plans
  • Supporting the operational water work, including legal issues related to LAV
  • Monitoring the external environment and participating in strategic collaboration forums
  • Coordinating strategic work at Savab with the city's various administrations and other group companies
  • Handling consultations and collaborating with external actors and suppliers
  • Conducting internal training within the company and group

We are looking for you.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Relevant university education
  • At least five years of experience in similar strategic work within water or urban development
  • Very good knowledge of the water sector and water legislation (LAV), the Environmental Code, and PBL
  • Experience in qualified investigative work and a good ability to lead projects
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic knowledge of English
  • Good computer skills
  • Driver's license (B)

Personal qualities

To succeed in this role, you need to be self-driven – you take responsibility for your tasks, plan and structure your work, and drive processes forward effectively. You have a strategic ability to see the big picture, analyze complex relationships, and make well-founded decisions with the future in focus.

As a person, you are clear in your communication and ensure that messages are conveyed and expectations are clear for all involved. You also have a high level of personal maturity – you are secure in yourself, have good self-awareness, and can distinguish between personal and professional matters in different contexts. This combination allows you to navigate a complex reality with both integrity and balance.

Our offer

With us, you will work with about 50 engaged employees who enjoy and have fun together. For us, it is important to combine work and private life where there is room for your priorities. We have a work culture where we help and support each other, and we are convinced that a functioning cycle is the key to a sustainable future. With us, you will have a strategic and meaningful role in a socially important company. You will be an important part of a sustainable future for Sundbyberg – and for future generations.

Application

Welcome to submit your application with CV and cover letter via the link below. The deadline for applications is May 4, 2025, but selection is ongoing and the position may be filled before the final date.

If you have questions about the position, please contact unit manager Johanna Gullberg at Johanna.gullberg@savab.se

A background check will be conducted as part of the recruitment process, and you may be subject to military placement.
