Project Managers Wanted at Fortifikationsverket
Fortifikationsverket is looking for two project managers for the project department located in Eskilstuna or Stockholm. If you want to work with developing projects in a growing authority, this could be an interesting position for you.
We own, develop, and manage properties for total defense. Our main mission is to contribute to increased defense capability – for a safe and free Sweden.
Your Role as Project Manager
The project department has a clear responsibility for managing user-related construction investments, taking care of our customers' needs for efficient and adapted premises as well as fortifications. Given the growing demand and long-term investment volumes, we are aware of the importance of carefully planning and executing projects to meet both current and future requirements.
The unit leads the work with prerequisite-creating investigations and feasibility studies in early stages, and we ensure that planning and coordination of assignments within the project portfolio are carried out in a responsible and structured manner. The position involves a central role and participation in the entire construction process, from the early stage to handover during project implementation, where you at a general level support other project managers in the execution of construction and infrastructure projects.
As part of the team, it is important that we take responsibility for ensuring that the assignment is carried out in the best possible way and that we are a reliable partner in all stages of the construction process. The position involves travel within Sweden, as our work extends across the country.
Fortifikationsverket is looking for project managers who will be responsible for and lead large, complex property development projects. The role includes collaborating with internal teams, being the client responsible towards consultants, and managing authority contacts and customer relations. You will be overall responsible for investigations related to infrastructure and environment, technical feasibility studies, investigation of planning conditions, calculations, timelines, risk management, and client coordination.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university or college education focused on civil engineering, urban planning, physical planning, construction technology, road and water, property management, or equivalent. Alternatively, other education that we consider equivalent. A valid driver's license (class B) is required.
In addition to education, you have several years of experience in independently leading investment projects related to the construction and property industry with responsibility for time, cost, quality, environment, and functionality. You also have several years of experience in the role of overall responsible for feasibility studies, investigative assignments, or construction projects, physical planning, civil engineering with a focus on urban planning, and/or strategic planning. For the role, it is also required that you have leadership skills that we assess as satisfactory.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in civil engineering, urban planning, physical planning, construction technology, road and water, architecture, property management, or equivalent. Knowledge regarding cost estimation/bid calculations in projects. Knowledge of property and construction law as well as the Public Procurement Act (LOU). Skills acquired through work in roles such as Project Manager, Program Manager, Property Manager, Urban Planner, Planning Architect, Project Manager in civil engineering and/or property development projects. Experience in a government agency.
Solid experience from the role of overall responsible for large complex construction or property development projects, civil engineering with a focus on urban planning, and/or strategic planning.
Certified project manager IPMA or equivalent.
