Your Role

Do you want to work with technology that truly makes a difference? As a technician in Safety Equipment, you will be an important part of our team ensuring that pilots and crews have reliable and functioning equipment. Here you will work with advanced technology in a varied and developing role! We maintain and repair equipment for Gripen as well as some vintage aircraft. You will be part of a small team with technically interested colleagues from various backgrounds and experiences. The tasks vary and include, for example:

• Troubleshooting, repair, and testing of safety equipment.
• Maintenance of parachutes and pilot equipment.
• Work with mechanical components, oxygen systems, and other technical devices.
• Tightening, locking, and assembly according to technical instructions.
• Handling of the business system IFS Sherpa/Sharp and working according to applicable regulations.

You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in technology, planning, and purchasing. The role also involves contributing to improvements and efficiencies in our work processes.

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, we see that you are meticulous, structured, and have an eye for detail. You enjoy practical work and have an interest in technology and mechanics. We also see that you are a team player with good collaboration skills.

We would like you to have:

• Technical high school education or equivalent practical experience, either from previous jobs or from your leisure time.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to read technical instructions.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

Experience from the aviation industry, precision mechanics, or cleanroom work is an advantage, but not a requirement - we value your willingness to learn and develop!

The working hours are during the day and the location is Malmslätt, Linköping.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
