Project Manager for FLTS (Flight Training System) Gripen

Your Role

As the main project manager for FLTS (Flight Training System) Gripen, you will be responsible, with the help of three sub-project managers, a technical management team, and approximately 80 engaged employees across about 15 teams, for developing training products from start to finish, from early requirement definition to deployment with our customers. Our products are used for both Gripen C & Gripen E, where we are now working to create a common technical development track for efficient progress. As a project manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that time, technology, and budget align in the overall picture. You will report progress to both the area's management group and to our program and contract managers. One of your most important tasks will be to establish common and clear goals and create engagement to achieve them.

Your Profile

You are, as for all our leadership roles, curious, attentive, driven, self-sufficient, structured, and good at creating engagement for the whole in the work. You thrive on dialogue and collaboration between people and understand how you as a person can make sound choices in everyday life regarding how tasks need to be solved for yourself but also for those in the area you support.

We are looking for someone with an academic degree, preferably in computer engineering, systems science, or another relevant field. We see that you have experience leading other leaders and have a good understanding of how to drive and coordinate projects towards success. Previous experience in product development is also meritorious and will be valuable in your work with us.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
