The forensic psychiatry department within Region Örebro County is in an exciting phase of development, and in September we will take a step forward by opening a brand new care unit.

With this expansion, we are now looking for a medical care administrator who is driven and solution-oriented, enjoys varied tasks and challenges. Currently, we are a medical care administrator and a chief secretary serving the entire operation with diverse and developing administrative tasks.

The forensic psychiatry department is located in Mellringe and at Karlahuset in Örebro. Our mission is to provide care and treatment according to the Act on Forensic Psychiatric Care (LRV), focusing on creating a safe and developing environment for both patients and staff. A structured care process unites our joint work, and within the operation, caregivers, treatment assistants, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, medical care administrators, and chief physicians work together.

Medical Care Administrator for the Forensic Psychiatry Department

Job Responsibilities

The tasks of a medical care administrator with us are very varied and diverse, including documentation, coding, patient administration, mail handling, travel bookings, administrative support to managers, writing to various authorities, and contact with the Administrative Court. Other administrative tasks such as registration in quality registers, educational planning, and control of coercive measures may also occur. Participation in various projects may also be involved.

As a medical care administrator with us, you play an important role in the operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an approved education as a medical care administrator, medical secretary, or doctor’s secretary.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and the qualities we value are collaboration ability, initiative and responsibility, quality thinking, and flexibility. Contributing to the development of the operation is seen as a natural part of your work. You need to be able to work independently but also possess good collaboration skills. Knowledge and experience of relevant IT systems and the current healthcare information support Cosmic are meritorious. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language and good computer skills.
