HR Generalist at SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.

SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården receives non-school-age girls. We operate in Fjugesta, thirty kilometers west of Örebro, and are now planning to open a satellite unit in Granhult, thirty kilometers north of Lindesberg. The girls come to us because they have psychosocial issues as well as problems with crime or drug abuse.

Job Description

Join us on our journey of change. The role of HR Generalist is a newly established position within our institutions across Sweden. This is a step to strengthen the authority's HR competence, and you will become an important part of SiS's new organization.

We are now looking for an HR Generalist focused on supporting the recruitment of new staff and managers for SiS Bergsmansgården. Time permitting, other typical HR Generalist tasks at the institution may also occur, which includes supporting managers and employees to create conditions for them to fully perform what they do best. This means that you may also work operationally, independently, and broadly within the entire HR area, which includes; systematic work environment management, rehabilitation, competence development, labor law (conditions, agreements), and union negotiations.

You will collaborate with various professional groups within the institution, within the authority, but also with actors outside the authority, such as occupational health services. You have experience and knowledge of working in various personnel systems. We use Primula and Reachmee, to name a few systems.

We are looking for someone who is used to having many recruitment processes running simultaneously and has good structure. You have a strong interest in and good knowledge of competency-based recruitment. You are also motivated to share your knowledge. Since a large part of the work involves collaboration with recruiting managers and contact with candidates, it is important that you are service-oriented and relationship-building. You also need to have a good ability to take initiative and work goal-oriented with your assignment. You enjoy working both independently and together with colleagues. You are a good ambassador for both SiS and for a qualitative, competency-based recruitment process.

To succeed in this role, we see the following requirements:

  • Academic degree in Personnel/HR or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in operational and consultative work with competency-based recruitment.
  • Experience of managing multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
  • Good ability to express yourself in writing and verbally in Swedish.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in recruitment within public sector.
  • Experience in broad operational HR work.
  • Good knowledge and current experience of labor law advisory.
  • Experience in providing managerial support in all HR-related matters.
  • Good knowledge of work environment legislation, systematic work environment management, rehabilitation, and experience working with these processes.
  • Knowledge of state labor law.
