Project Manager for Transmission Projects

About the Position

As a project manager for transmission projects, you will work on investment projects for transmission lines. You will represent Svenska kraftnät as the client and be responsible for the project's time, cost, and results. In our projects, depending on your experience and interest, you may hold the role of sub-project manager, project manager, or lead project manager.

As a project manager focusing on the design phase, you will be responsible for steering and leading the project team and the project's suppliers through the various phases leading up to construction; from startup, through all planning and design phases, until contract signing with the contractor. During the planning phases, great emphasis is placed on permitting issues and communication with the project's various stakeholders. You will also be responsible for procuring and leading design consultants and other expert functions.

In the role of project manager, you will have responsibility for workplace safety and electrical safety within your project.

Furthermore, you have a university degree in a relevant field for the position or equivalent experience acquired in another way.

Other Requirements for the Position

• At least a couple of years of experience in project management in large complex projects within infrastructure or construction.
• Knowledge of contract law (e.g., ABT, AB).
• Driver's license B
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

Desirable Qualifications for the Position

We consider it an advantage if you have experience with AMA and similar industry standards, as well as specific industry experience in overhead line projects, permitting processes, and handling landowner issues. The same applies to experience in following up larger consulting assignments, such as designs or contracts. It is beneficial if you have experience working within or towards the public sector. We also see it as an advantage if you have project management training, e.g., PMI/IPMA.
