We are now seeking an engaged and driven municipal archivist for Tyresö municipality! The position offers a unique opportunity to influence, drive, and develop our archival work in connection with the exciting work on a new municipal building.

Here you will have the opportunity to work with both operational and strategic issues within archive management and digitization, where your expertise will be crucial for the municipality's future archive structure and e-archive.

We are in an exciting development phase and are looking for a driven and meticulous municipal archivist who wants to support the democratic process. Our unit is a versatile group consisting of committee secretaries, archivists, lawyers, investigators, quality controllers, an administrator, and a medically responsible nurse. You will play a key role in this work, where you will have the opportunity to practically work on structuring archives, as well as contribute to the development of new strategies for managing and storing the municipality's documents. About the position

As a municipal archivist, you will have a varied and developing role where you are responsible for both operational and strategic tasks. You will drive and coordinate the daily work as a municipal archivist. Your tasks will include organizing and cataloging deliveries, handling inquiries and retrievals in the municipal archive, releasing public documents, and conducting confidentiality assessments. You will assist the administrations in establishing information management plans and conducting retention investigations and other customary tasks. You will also drive the municipality's e-archive and perform supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Work with digitization and e-archive to improve and streamline the municipality's archive management.
• Develop and implement new archive strategies to meet future needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with other units within the municipality to ensure that archive management is conducted according to applicable laws and guidelines.
• Lead and support employees in matters related to archives and information management.
• Provide advice and support in archive and information management.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with solid experience in archival work and who is accustomed to handling both operational and strategic issues. You have a relevant university degree in archival science or equivalent, and you have many years of experience working in archives, preferably in the public sector. You have deep knowledge of archival legislation and digitization, and you have experience in driving and developing archival solutions at an organizational level. As a municipal archivist with us at Tyresö municipality, you are expected to take significant responsibility and be a driving force in the development of our archival operations, while also serving as an important link between the unit and other administrations to ensure proper handling of documents and archives according to applicable regulations.

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience in archival work in municipal operations.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience with iipax and LEX.
