Personal Assistant Needed for 19-Year-Old Boy Outside Linköping

DVT Assistans has been providing personal assistance to people with disabilities since its inception in 2005. We operate throughout Central Sweden based on the principles of Participation, Dignity, and Accessibility. We believe in individual solutions where the customer is always the focus. Together, we enable people with various disabilities to live like others and to have control over their own lives. Today, DVT employs approximately 200 personal assistants.

We are now looking for an engaged and cheerful assistant for a 19-year-old boy living outside Linköping.

Our wonderful client is a boy with a severe developmental disability who loves fun, singing, and music. He lives with his lovely family in a villa. It is a requirement that you have your own car and a driving license to get to work.

He needs help with most of his basic needs, but above all, he needs an assistant who engages and provides him with security and routines in his daily life.

As an assistant, you need to be able to plan and follow his schedule, preparing the client for what will happen during the day. He is currently working a lot on his communication, so if you have experience with alternative communication, that is a plus.

We want you to be an open, secure person with positive energy who can make independent decisions. Have a good sense of humor and be ready to jump in when needed. We prefer candidates who have worked as assistants before.

You must not have pet allergies as there are animals in the home.

You will be working with a fantastic family that has a big heart and laughs a lot.

Working hours are mainly weekdays after the client comes home from school, from 15:00 to about 21:00, but weekends may occur.

If you are the right person for the job and we are the right employer for you, a fixed schedule of about 50% is possible.
