Do you want to work with us?
Do you want to be part of the effort to strengthen protective factors that reduce the risk of crime? Then you could be our new coordinator for crime prevention work!
The Individual and Family Care, IFO, in Finspång municipality focuses on the needs of the individual, always prioritizing the best interests of children.
It should be easy to get help. Our support and treatment measures are of high quality and are based on legally secure assessments.
We want to find solutions close to the individual and contribute to a positive change for the individual and their family system. Together, we want to create safety and good social services for those living in Finspång.
The social office is now strengthening crime prevention work by expanding the organization with a new position as coordinator for crime prevention work.
The work will focus on strengthening the protective factors that research shows reduce people's propensity to engage in crime, as well as providing crime prevention parenting support. The goal is to detect, intervene, and offer support as early as possible in a person's life or at the onset of problem development to prevent or reduce negative consequences.
SSPF (school, social services, police, and leisure) is a collaborative form where schools, social services, police, and leisure work together to strengthen protective factors that help prevent and/or reduce norm-breaking behavior among children and youth. The target group for SSPF is children and youth aged approximately 10–18 years who are at risk of developing or continuing with norm-breaking behavior primarily expressed in crime and/or alcohol and drug use. An important component of SSPF is the ability to share information among the actors, which is facilitated by consent from guardians. After completing SSPF, the goal is for the young person to have increased school attendance, decreased encounters with the police, and for concerns about the young person to have decreased among all participating parties.
SIG (social intervention groups) is a collaborative work form for young people and young adults at high risk of continued crime and other serious norm-breaking behavior. SIG is based on high collaboration between, for example, schools, social services, police, psychiatry, correctional services, home, leisure, and others. Social services and police are always involved. The core of SIG work and its collaboration with key actors is to prevent the young person from reoffending. To achieve the best effect of the work, it is required that the young person and/or guardians consent to the participating actors sharing relevant information to increase the chances of providing the right support at the right time.
Your future tasks
As a coordinator, you will convene regular SSPF and SIG meetings where you will serve as the meeting leader. You will maintain the meeting structure, document individual action plans from the meeting, and lead the process forward.
You will work closely with the responsible social worker and act as a link between them, families, schools, police, and leisure.
In your role as coordinator, you will serve as a continuous sounding board for all actors during risk assessments and work with the young person's receptiveness so that support and measures can be designed in the best possible way for the young person to benefit from the support and interventions.
In addition to working with individuals, you will work on organizational development through environmental monitoring, participation in other collaboration forums, and with other employees at IFO.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another university degree that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience and familiarity with coordinating and leading meetings and have previously worked with children, youth, and their parents. We would like you to have knowledge of risk and protective factors associated with children and youth developing norm-breaking behavior. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between the personal and professional, and have a positive attitude towards your surroundings.
Furthermore, you see and seize opportunities for change and contribute to a positive work climate.
To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate working in a team, have an easy time collaborating, and communicate in a constructive manner. Additionally, you take personal responsibility for your task to plan, structure, and drive processes forward.
You demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and have the ability to adapt your working methods as the unit develops.
We value your ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with the people you meet in your work, including children, youth, adults, parents, and collaborating parties.
A manual transmission driver's license (B license) is required.
