Hemsjö Unit

The Hemsjö unit includes preschool, after-school care, preschool class, and grades 1-6, with approximately 160 students. There are two after-school departments, Boken for younger students and Björken for older students. We strive for a common approach regarding development and learning through active work with values and professional development within the unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now strengthening our team with an educator in after-school care, and we are looking for you who want to continue developing our after-school care together with colleagues and students into a place where students thrive, can be active in their learning, develop their abilities, and feel involved.

As an educator in after-school care, you will be part of a work team where you are expected to contribute to the systematic quality work. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing the teaching in after-school care. The assignment involves creating conditions for learning and development, promoting good social relationships, and encouraging play and positive interaction. You have great opportunities to put your own stamp on the content and try out your thoughts and ideas.

The position also includes acting as a resource in the lower grades. You will be part of a work team consisting of educators and teachers in after-school care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma as an educator in after-school care or equivalent education. Experience working with students in need of special support is an advantage.

You have commitment, determination, and a passion for joyful learning in after-school care. You are collaborative, good at building positive relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. In your work, you are positive about development, digital tools, and understand the importance of creating a lifelong learning environment. You are well-versed in current governing documents, and you work systematically in collaboration with your colleagues in after-school care and at school.
