About the workplace

The adult education is part of the department of children and education, led by an adult education manager and five principals.

The premises are spacious and bright and are located within one of the former barracks in the old regiment area and at Margretegärdeskolan. The education includes SFI, basic adult education, high school courses, adapted adult education, and higher vocational education. We have extensive collaboration with high schools. Parts of the operations are commissioned training, funded by grants from the state and dependent on our ability to adapt to fluctuations in the labor market. This places high demands on flexibility among the staff.

Job Responsibilities

The position as a teacher in biology and natural science involves teaching at the high school level. You will plan, implement, assess, and follow up on teaching for our students as well as other tasks included in the teaching assignment. Evening teaching may occur. You are engaged in the school's quality work and demonstrate clarity in working with goals and results. You possess qualities that include both structure and creativity.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for you who are a qualified and certified teacher with very good subject competence. You are a pedagogical leader in the classroom and use democratic working methods and are interested in digital tools. In addition to good pedagogical competence, you are resourceful and engaged, and you want to be part of a collegial learning environment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
