Role summary

Outbound Logistics is a part of Scania Production & Logistics and Supply Chain Planning. Our mission is to enable Scania to reach the world with our transports, processes and tools and we strive to deliver products to the right place, at the right time without deviations and with quality, in a cost efficient and sustainable way.

Our current Manager - Global Outbound Development is now taking on new challenges within the company and we are therefore seeking her successor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize processes: Design and implement efficient and scalable outbound network processes to support global operations.
  • Lead strategic planning and execution: Drive the development and execution of the outbound network strategy across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including product, engineering, operations, and marketing teams, to drive initiatives and improvements.
  • Manage global stakeholders: Develop relationships and manage expectations across various global teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of initiatives.
  • Tool and system development: Lead the creation and optimization of tools and systems that support outbound operations and help streamline workflows.
  • Agile and Waterfall methodology: Guide teams through both agile and waterfall project management methodologies, adapting to the needs of each project.
  • Continuous improvement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, track progress, and identify areas for continuous improvement in systems, tools, and processes.
  • Leadership and coaching: Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Who you are

We are seeking an engaged, dynamic Outbound Development Manager to lead the development of processes, tools, and systems for our global outbound network. In this role, you will drive strategic planning and execution across cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders worldwide.

You have a university degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, IT, or a related field. With managerial experience, you excel in leading teams to enhance business performance and processes. You thrive on balancing the big picture with details, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Adaptable to fast-changing environments, you see challenges as opportunities. Meeting deadlines and achieving goals are priorities, and you are highly organized. You value data-driven decision-making, preferably with Power BI or similar tools. Strong relationship-building skills and fluency in English are essential, with additional language skills being a plus.
