Urban planning issues are handled within the Department of Urban Development.
The Urban Development Department is responsible for the city's urban development projects, strategic and physical planning in early planning stages, as well as land and development issues. The department plans the development of a sustainably growing city. We work from a whole city perspective where great importance is placed on the conditions of the site, sustainability, and urban design. For this, we need to have good cohesion, work together, and have a sense of the city as a living environment. You belong to the land and development unit, which plays an important role in this development. The land and development unit represents the municipality in property legal matters.
As a land and development engineer, you will participate in the work of several exciting and complex urban development projects, Urban Development Projects - Sundbyberg City, in Sundbyberg. It is a varied job where you collaborate with the city's other officials, politicians, developers, consultants, and the public. In the role of land manager, you will be responsible for the management and development of the municipality's undeveloped land holdings. The ongoing management mainly consists of lease, usufruct, and land tenure issues, contract management, and cadastral matters, as well as representing the municipality as a property owner in, for example, cadastral proceedings and in certain joint facilities. You will work on monitoring existing agreements and rights and be responsible for establishing and negotiating agreements regarding land use and lease. You will also be responsible for issues regarding property valuation and property analysis.
The work involves representing the municipality in property legal matters, conducting negotiations, and establishing contracts. In certain urban development projects, you will work as a project manager. In other projects, you will work as an expert in implementation strategies, valuations, contract issues, etc. You will also work on developing implementation strategies and prepare proposals for various agreements regarding transfers and leases of real estate, as well as handling land issues such as leases, land tenure, land leases, and servitudes. You report both to the unit manager for Land and Development and the project manager/area manager. You participate in the municipality's community building through ongoing contacts with property companies, landowners, and authorities.
You who are applying for the position have the ability to structure and plan your work and take responsibility for your tasks. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and learning new things. You are responsive, communicative, and driven by delivering high quality and have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. For the position, it is important to be able to work both in a team and independently.
We want you to have relevant education for the assignment, such as a master's degree in civil engineering in urban development or equivalent higher education. As a person, you are structured, goal-oriented, and outgoing. It is also important that you have a high service mindset and can communicate internally and externally. We place great importance on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who has experience and has worked in similar roles for a couple of years.
