Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.
As a digitalization leader in the Digital Transformation unit, you will work alongside other digitalization leaders, business architects, and digitalization and AI specialists under the leadership of the Chief Digital Officer. The unit is tasked with accelerating the municipality's digital transformation in close collaboration with the municipality's core operations.

You, who are both innovative and have the ability to execute, will play a central role in our transformation towards modern working methods and future-proof digital solutions for both employees and citizens.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role includes, among other things:
- Identifying and driving pilot projects that promote innovation and new digital solutions, in close dialogue with relevant operations and stakeholders.
- Planning, organizing, leading, and executing projects according to established project models (e.g., PPS), where project groups may consist of internal employees, external parties, and/or consultants.
- Coordinating ongoing projects based on the municipality's portfolio management and its priorities to ensure effective resource utilization.
- Analyzing and following up on project statuses with a particular focus on risks, timelines, budgets, and impacts on operations both during and after implementation.
- Supporting the organization through training and workshops, for example, in method support, system management, and tools for digital transformation.
- Collaborating closely with departments and other support functions (e.g., information/cybersecurity, procurement, e-archive/archive) to create a holistic view and maintain the municipality's digital ecosystem.
- Being a key person in discovering and evaluating areas for improvement through the possibilities of digitalization and initiating new initiatives to strengthen the municipality's digital development.
- Ensuring that departments follow the established management model and, if necessary, managing certain central systems and platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, systems science, engineering, information management) or equivalent competence acquired in another way.
- Documented experience in planning and leading complex projects, preferably according to established project models (e.g., PPS, PRINCE2, PMI).
- Good understanding of digital transformation, business development, and change management; you see the big picture and are driven to find new digital solutions that create value.
- Practical experience in analyzing projects against risk, time, budget, and effect goals, as well as proposing and implementing measures as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically with different target groups, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in conducting workshops, training, and leading groups towards common goals.
- Knowledge in AI, system management, or business architecture is an advantage, as well as experience in driving innovation or development projects in the public sector.
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are used to working in a cross-functional environment with many different stakeholders.
