JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a preschool teacher with a sense of discovery and curiosity for children's development and learning? Do you want to work with the entire LPFÖ18 based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy where democratic meeting places, project-based working methods, aesthetic learning processes, and the third educator are always at the forefront? Nolehultsvägen 15 Preschool is located in central Tuve, close to the square, library, and beautiful forest and nature areas. Our preschool is a welcoming meeting place in the village, where children and adults together, with a sense of discovery and curiosity, explore the preschool and the world around them. We have a strong curriculum focus and care for our collective systematic quality work and our common positions. Our inspiration comes from the philosophy of Reggio Emilia and is based on experiential learning, where the child's creativity, interests, and needs are the starting point.

We are organized into four teams with a shared studio as the heart of each department. The children are divided by age and are met by environments adapted for each age group. Joyful learning environments are seen as a whole where children can meet in contexts that create meaning and where they feel respected and listened to. Aesthetic learning processes are significant for our teaching together with the children. Important values for us in working with children are the welcoming where we take advantage of children's curiosity and wonder in meaning-making contexts.

You will be part of a staff group consisting of certified preschool teachers and childcare workers. You are open and curious about children's needs and different interests, and you shape the educational activities and environment based on that. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will plan the educational work linked to pedagogical documentation. This requires access to a large toolbox, various strategies, and ongoing reflection on what we do, how we do it, and why we do it. We work in project form where children's exploration, curiosity, experiences, and knowledge are the starting point, based on our common theme in Tuve/Skogome "Creating relationships for a sustainable future".

As a preschool teacher with us, you will participate in professional development through networks, learning groups, and team reflection. You will also receive guidance from a pedagogista and special educator, and if necessary, also from a speech therapist and preschool psychologist.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are an educated and engaged preschool teacher with experience from project-based working methods and the philosophy of Reggio Emilia. It is very important to us that the curriculum's mission and values permeate your work and approach. Experience in leading conversations and conducting challenging discussions with guardians is meritorious. We want you to help us create good conditions for new generations' learning and future society. The work requires that you have a very good ability to communicate in both spoken and written Swedish.

As a person, you function well in a team as well as in independent work and have a good ability to build relationships with both children, guardians, and colleagues. You recognize the importance of both the group and the environment for learning and are inspired by children's curiosity and creativity. We want you to see yourself as an inspirer, enabler, and co-researcher.

In the role of preschool teacher, it is important that you have a positive attitude and are clear in your way of communicating. You need to be attentive and have the ability to prioritize and adapt your working methods based on the needs of the organization, while always considering the best interests of the children. The work also requires that you are good at structuring and documenting your educational work.

If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will receive a mentor upon your employment. The mentor is part of a central group and is tasked with helping you get a good start in your professional life with us.
