IT System Developer at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the IT operations of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, we work with a lot of in-house development where all development takes place in a Microsoft environment and is agile. We work in teams and are responsible for providing the organization with digital solutions that simplify and streamline their daily work. We try to use new technologies where possible, but we also work a lot with the management of our existing solutions. As a system developer within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you will work in an object-oriented environment involving the development of our core and support systems. We work with .net and C#, and will give you the opportunity to develop and learn these languages on-site with us.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, software engineering, or similar, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- At least one year of work experience in system development in projects, assignments, or within management
- Experience with agile working methods
- The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
- Good knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as .Net and C#
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
It is a merit if you have:
- Experience as a system developer within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- Experience with Microsoft development tools (e.g., VS and/or Azure DevOps)
- Experience working agile in system development teams
- Experience with Continuous Delivery
- Experience with DevOps
OTHER
We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. To work with us, you need to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position is classified, and a security clearance interview with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. During the security clearance, you will be investigated as a person, your background, and your relationships from a security perspective.
