Aviation Safety Material Technician

About the Position

As an Aviation Safety Material Technician, you will play a central role in conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on aviation equipment and safety materials, while also contributing to strengthening our capabilities regarding pilots' personal equipment and aviation safety materials.

You will be part of a knowledgeable team that uses your skills to maintain personal aviation equipment for aircraft and helicopter systems. This includes daily and periodic inspections of items such as isolation suits and helmets, as well as performing modifications according to technical orders or repairs.

The position is located in Linköping.

About You

We are looking for someone with a high school education with a technical focus or equivalent skills acquired in another way. Education in aviation safety materials or aircraft maintenance is a merit. The position requires good computer skills and an ability to understand Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

We view it positively if you have worked with the maintenance of aviation safety materials or have experience in material maintenance. Familiarity with handling aviation safety materials or other aviation equipment is also a merit.

The Defence Materiel Administration Test and Evaluation (FMV T&E) is part of FMV, where we work together as a whole to deliver operationally safe and usable material systems for a stronger defense aimed at defending Sweden and guaranteeing our independence. We contribute by conducting Verification and Validation (VoV), so that FMV can deliver the right material for a stronger defense where all employees have an important role to fill.

T&E Air operates within the aviation arena. We work with the verification and validation of aviation-related products, primarily on military platforms such as Gripen and helicopters. The goal of our operations is to support other parts of FMV with subject-specific expertise and lead operations within verification and validation.
