Your Role

We are undergoing some exciting changes as we expand and develop, with several projects currently in the startup phase of production. You will work to support our manufacturing of products in missiles, Ground Combat, and underwater. Our production is characterized by low volumes and high complexity mixed with some high-volume products. We are constantly striving to improve and expect you to actively participate in our improvement efforts. Therefore, you will need to build a large network with purchasing, production engineers, project managers, production, quality, logistics, and the development department.

Areas of responsibility will include:

• Leading cross-functional improvement projects (for example, internal packaging management, digitizing logistics flows, spare parts flows)
• Implementing and following up on activities and creating demand within LEAN with a focus on 5S and VSM (Value Stream Mapping)
• Logistics manual and requirements specification for suppliers
• Training and supporting staff in improvement projects and LEAN
• Commissioning new logistics units
• Mapping and improving transport flows

You will support 4 factories in Linköping, Motala, and Karlskoga in a group consisting of 8 people.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has worked in the manufacturing industry in similar roles. We also believe you have experience with complex products and varying production rates, as well as knowledge and experience working with Lean Production and preferably experience with the MRP system IFS, Qlicksense, and Kardex PPS. Six Sigma experience is also a plus.

Furthermore, you have:

• A relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Several years of experience working with LEAN tools, behaviors, and leadership.
• An interest in digitalization
• Experience in implementing project and business development models
• Practical experience in change management and the ability to engage people
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as communication occurs in both languages

You are proactive, good at communicating, and have a desire for continuous improvement. Keeping many balls in the air comes naturally to you, and you are not afraid of new challenges. The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
