As one of the leading flavor houses in the Nordics, NordArom develops the flavors of the future. With over 60 years of experience, tradition and modern technology combine to create innovative and sustainable solutions for customers in the food industry. A completely new factory is now being built where innovation, quality, and customer focus will be at the center. To strengthen NordArom's team, we are now looking for a driven process engineer who wants to be part of an exciting journey and contribute to taking NordArom's production into the future.

Responsibilities

As a process engineer, you will play a central role in the work of developing and optimizing production processes in NordArom's manufacturing. You will implement and monitor automated systems and equipment, as well as ensure that production adheres to quality and safety standards. Your work will also involve close collaboration with other departments to streamline production flow and create a smooth transition from product development to production. You will also act as a project manager in various projects, which may involve improvement projects, scaling from lab recipes to production recipes, as well as changes in existing production. This means that you will lead and drive projects, coordinate resources, and ensure that timelines are met.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • Developing and optimizing production processes for flavor manufacturing.
  • Implementing and monitoring automated systems and equipment.
  • Working to ensure quality and safety in production.
  • Troubleshooting and solving technical problems within the production line.
  • Collaborating with product development to ensure that new products can be manufactured efficiently in production.
  • Documenting and reporting process improvements and results.
  • Training and guiding production staff in new processes and techniques.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we believe you have the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a process engineer, preferably within the food or chemical industry.
  • Experience with automated production systems and industrial automation.
  • Good knowledge of quality control and safety standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Experience leading and participating in projects to optimize production processes.
  • Knowledge of programming PLCs, HMI panels, and SCADA systems.
