The Underwater Systems business area in Linköping is looking for an experienced systems engineer who wants to join us on our growth journey and develop the underwater products of the future. As a systems engineer, you play a crucial role in our projects, where you are responsible for seeing the big picture and ensuring that each step in the development process aligns with the customer's needs and requirements. Your ability to analyze and transform customer needs into detailed technical specifications is central to guiding the development work. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to create system solutions that meet high demands for functionality and safety.

Your role includes managing and documenting requirements, creating system solutions, and ensuring that the development process meets set goals, both technically and in terms of timelines. Since the work spans multiple technical areas and involves many internal contacts, you will collaborate closely with other engineers and technical specialists. You will also be supported by well-established processes and methodology descriptions.

Your main tasks include:

• Developing and defining system architecture and advanced system descriptions
• Working with requirements management, requirements breakdown, and producing technical specifications
• Creating system documentation, including block diagrams, drawings, and documents
• Designing overall electrical block diagrams and connection diagrams

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is driven by solving complex problems and thrives in collaborations where your knowledge makes a difference. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other parts of the organization to ensure that all parts of the system work together optimally. You have broad experience from various disciplines within development and are structured, meticulous, and understand the importance of clear requirements and specifications. The role suits you if you want to contribute to technical solutions with real societal benefits.

We believe you have:

• A degree in engineering (Bachelor's or Master's) in electronics, electrical engineering, power engineering, technical physics, or equivalent
• Several years of experience in similar roles
• Experience working with system architecture and requirements management in larger projects
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish

Desirable experiences:

• Use of graphical tools for system description
• Knowledge in power electronics, high-voltage systems, electrical drive systems, motor control, and/or battery systems for large vessels
• Previous experience in electronics design

The position is based in Linköping, but travel to other locations and facilities, both in Sweden and abroad, may occur.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
