Electronics Engineer with Team Leadership Responsibilities

Your Role

As an electronics engineer with team leadership responsibilities, you will work on the design and implementation of electronic solutions in our underwater products. The products are characterized by advanced technology and are often market leaders in their segments. Your work involves realizing design solutions with a focus on high technical quality, reliability, and long lifespan.

In addition to your technical tasks, you will play a central role in coordinating and leading the team’s daily work. Approximately 30% of your time will be spent acting as a team leader, where you will be responsible for structuring the work based on a backlog, distributing tasks, and ensuring that the team works efficiently. You will estimate work packages, define scopes of work, and assess time requirements for various tasks.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Team leadership, including planning, task distribution, follow-up, and time estimation
• Requirements tracking, documentation, and quality assurance throughout the development process
• Design and implementation of electronic solutions, including schematic design, PCB layout, and work with programmable logic (both hardware and software)
• Practical electronics work with components, circuit boards, measuring instruments, and lab work with testing and verification of electronics

The work is carried out in project and team form where you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for parts of the product and development process. The role does not involve personnel responsibility, but the focus is on driving and coordinating the electronic engineering work within the team.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is driven to solve complex problems and thrives in collaborations where you can express your communication skills and where your knowledge makes a difference. The role suits you if you want to work technically while developing your leadership skills.

We believe you have:

• A university degree in electronics, electrical engineering, power engineering, technical physics, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Broad experience in electronics and product development
• Practical skills in lab work and handling measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers

Additionally, it is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in battery technology or electric propulsion
• Knowledge of VHDL, Verilog, or EMC
• Skills in soldering and programming
• Experience in roles that involve some form of leadership, such as team leader, project manager, or mentor

The position is based in Linköping, but travel to other locations and facilities, both in Sweden and abroad, may occur.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
