We are now seeking more nursing colleagues who want to be part of our wonderful team.

As a newcomer to the department, you will receive an introduction with experienced supervisors, and thereafter, there will be a mentor for support.

Your workplace

Welcome to ward 34! We are a neurology and rehabilitation department where we care for individuals with neurological symptoms and diagnoses and rehabilitate individuals with acquired brain injuries. We receive individuals with neurological symptoms directly from the emergency room, sometimes directly from the neurology clinic, and we also have planned admissions from home to the ward. In dedicated care places, we have individuals who need the expertise of the brain injury team for their rehabilitation.

The various teams in the department include doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, music therapists, social workers, neuropsychologists, dietitians, and speech therapists. We monitor movement patterns in our patients with Parkinson's, provide treatments for various neurological diseases, prepare for PEG insertions, and perform PEF checks to evaluate lung capacity in some of our patients. We rehabilitate individuals with acquired brain injuries from incidents such as car accidents, falls, drowning, strokes, and more. We rehabilitate individuals with high spinal cord injuries, where we often provide advanced care such as tracheostomies, ventilator treatment, and cough machines. Training of personal assistants also occurs here before discharge from the ward. To gain in-depth knowledge in acute neurology and brain injury rehabilitation, we offer training in the department.

Job Description

As a night nurse on ward 34, you will, together with your colleagues, care for patients of various ages with different care needs. Standard nursing tasks such as medication administration, patient observation to detect any deterioration/improvement, and various parameter checks, such as vital parameters, PEF checks, and RLS checks, are some of the tasks included.

At night, you will work in teams of nurses and nursing assistants. Our focus is to care for patients by seeing the whole person and their needs and supporting their relatives.

Night shift pay will be added. We are looking for a permanent position and a temporary position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have previous experience in the profession, we see it as a significant plus.

To fit into the role, you have a good attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help where needed. It is important to us that you are responsible, meticulous, and attentive to the team and patients. You are a person who enjoys working in a team while also being comfortable working independently. As a person, you are structured and have the ability to prioritize and see what each individual needs to create trust and security.
