The children and youth rehabilitation is divided into two units where unit 1 is aimed at cognitive disabilities and unit 2 at movement disabilities. This position is relevant in unit 2 and is a permanent employment.

Your Responsibilities

In the children and youth rehabilitation, we perform work that makes a difference for many children and families. With us, one day is not like the other depending on which patients we meet. We work together in teams with different professions around the patient. We also offer interventions for relatives and other networks.

As an occupational therapist, you will meet the child at the rehabilitation center, in school, and at home. Our work includes assessments of activity and functional ability, and then interventions are made in the form of training and compensatory measures. We perform assistive device trials and environmental adaptations as well as training for the child and their surroundings. As an occupational therapist, you will plan your interventions independently in collaboration with the team and work closely with pediatric assistive device consultants and technicians at the pediatric assistive device center located in the same building. The professional group actively works on developing working methods and professional development.

With us, you will work in interdisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of interventions aimed at children/youth with disabilities. There are also opportunities to influence both the content and development of the organization as well as your own profession. We offer good opportunities for internal and external professional development, both job-specific and rehabilitation-wide. At the start of your employment, you will be part of an introductory program that includes mentorship support.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist. You need to be able to work independently but also together with others as teamwork is a significant part of our operations. Collaboration is key, both within and outside the organization, so your ability to collaborate is important. It is also beneficial if you are interested in development work based on your profession. If you are service-oriented and flexible, that is an additional plus.

We work throughout Värmland and regularly travel to our local offices. Since the job involves travel, a B driver's license is a requirement, and access to a leasing car is available.
