We are looking for a temporary speech therapist who will be part of our wonderful support team for preschools.

The support team consists of special educators, language educators, speech therapists, and psychologists. The role of the support team is to ensure that the youngest citizens have equal opportunities to learn, develop, and succeed. The central support team offers guidance, training, and professional development to educators and principals.

Responsibilities

As a speech therapist for our preschools, you will work in a guiding, educational, and consulting capacity for the staff.

Preventive work, advice, and information to principals and other professional groups. Collaborating with guardians and representatives from the region, for example through child health teams, is also part of the responsibilities.

The aim is to enhance language-promoting work in preschool education at the organizational, group, and individual levels, for example through guidance and training in Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC), linguistic vulnerability, language development, attitudes, and responses. The assignment does not include investigating, diagnosing, or treating speech, language, and communication difficulties in children.

In your role, you will have close contact with people, which places high demands on your social skills. Here, you have the opportunity to work together with the unit manager and colleagues in the support team to contribute to change and development in an exciting position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed speech therapist or special educator with additional training in speech, language, and communication, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical experience.

To succeed in the role, you have the ability to take significant personal responsibility and drive your processes forward. You are interested in development within the assignment and find it easy to communicate with both adults and children.

The position means being part of a team where everyone contributes their profession to collegial learning within the group. Most of the work takes place in the municipality's preschools.

You act independently based on what the situation requires. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.
