Frykenskolan is a primary school for grades 4-9 located in Torsby. Approximately 600 students attend the school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to work within the medical services of student health to support the health and development of children and adolescents towards educational goals.

The school nurse's mission is to collaborate with school management, student health personnel, and other school staff to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. You will be part of the school's student health team but also work independently.

The school nurse's preventive and health-promoting mission is based on the governing documents in the Health and Medical Services Act, the Education Act, and guidance for student health. Responsibilities include health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, issues related to students' work environment, profession-specific health checks, the school's value-based work, and lifestyle-related health issues. You will also have your own open reception and consultations together with the school doctor.

As a school nurse, you have the opportunity to make a difference at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Within the medical services of student health, we systematically work on quality development and improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed nurse with further education in open health and medical care or health and medical care for children and adolescents, or alternatively training as a school nurse. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and ability to collaborate.

You have several years of professional experience and a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents.

OTHER

Background checks via the National Police Board will be conducted according to regulations for the school's area of operation.
