Our 5 preschools and 4 schools are located in the towns of Idre, Särna, and Älvdalen.

Strandskolan is a K-9 school located in central Idre, close to both mountains, lakes, and forests.

About 140 students attend our school. We incorporate many elements of outdoor life into our teaching, such as mountain hiking, skiing, and overnight stays outdoors in winter. The school sports association is very active, and we participate in RF-SISU's Movement Initiative.

This is what you will work on

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating music education. You will also be a mentor for some students.

As a teacher, you collaborate with colleagues and other teams in the school as well as in the after-school program, actively contributing to development and good solutions that benefit the entire operation.

In your work, you will have continuous contact with guardians and, when necessary, with external actors, contributing to creating, maintaining, and developing good relationships.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who works well with others, listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts constructively. You create engagement and participation and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and prioritize the best interests of the entire operation.

You also have

• a teaching license with qualifications to teach music
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of accessible learning environments and low-arousal behavior.
