My name is Erik Lundin, and I am the principal of Mockfjärd School, an attractive school located close to nature, which allows for many outdoor activities.

Every day, about 400 students receive their education at the school, distributed across grades F-9 and an after-school program. In the same building, there is also the municipality's adapted primary school, a school and community library, and the upper secondary school's IM program. At Mockfjärd School, good relationships, knowledge at the center, and a belief in the future are guiding principles. You should also know that we in Gagnef Municipality place great value on promoting and preventive measures aimed at creating a good learning environment for all students.

The school's student health team consists of school nurses, special educators, special teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, and principals. Mockfjärd School has a staff of about 70 people, with a qualification rate of 90%. Together, we drive the work and teaching forward, where you will certainly become an important part.

Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching in your subject areas of Swedish and English. An important part of this responsibility is the work of adapting the learning environment based on the needs you encounter at the individual and group level. One way to do this is to find alternative methods in your teaching to meet students where they are in their development.

You also need to be good at, and see value in, creating good contacts with guardians, and you are keen to maintain clear documentation regarding your students. You will individually and together with your colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work based on the school's governing documents, and with other mentors in the work team, you contribute to creating a whole around the student.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher for grades 7-9 in the subjects of Swedish and English. If you have qualifications in more subjects, we would be happy to discuss the design of the position so that it, as far as possible, meets your wishes. You have good IT skills, and if you also have experience using digital tools in a learning process, it is an advantage.

To succeed in this assignment, you need to have a good ability to plan your subject and lead your students based on the primary school's curriculum. As a leader, you need to be able to see your students' varying needs and interests. You need to have an inclusive working method, based on good pedagogical insight with a well-thought-out view of knowledge and students. If you have knowledge and experience working with students' varying challenges related to NPF, it is an advantage. The position includes mentorship, so you also need to value the work of building relationships with your students.

Even though your main task is to be responsible for teaching in your teaching groups, it is important that you can have a holistic perspective where you are interested in and work for the entire school's development work. For you to thrive in the role, it is therefore important that you place great value on collaboration with other professionals at the school, that you are structured yet flexible, and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances.

Conditions

This recruitment includes two positions. One position is 80-100% and the other is 60-80%. Both positions are permanent and will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made. The start date is 250812 or by agreement. Before employment, a teaching license and a valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record must be presented.
