Job Advertisement: Teacher at Gruvrisskolan

Gruvrisskolan is one of the largest F-6 schools in Falun with approximately 500 students. The school is located in the nature-friendly district of Galgberget, which is part of Falun where new villas and apartment buildings are being constructed. The school has a beautiful outdoor environment and excellent facilities, along with a dedicated staff eager to develop the operations.

At Gruvrisskolan, the team culture is strong, and here, after-school staff and primary school teachers work together in grade-specific teams. Almost all teachers at the school are qualified with extensive experience, and those who are not qualified are nearing the end of their education, ensuring high quality in our operations.

Here, students are at the center, and our collaboration to ensure their success is crucial to us. Our quality work focuses heavily on health, safety, and students' academic development. Gruvrisskolan has a student health team consisting of principals, special teachers, a special educator, a counselor, and a school nurse, all of whom work full-time at the school. All special teachers are linked to the various teams, and the special educator works across the school.

This autumn, we are looking for someone who wants to work in one of our teams in the lower grades alongside other teaching colleagues and staff from the after-school program.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching - individually and within the team.
• Working with extra adaptations for your students.
• Shared mentorship within the team.
• You are expected to be actively involved in the school's development work.

Qualifications

For this role, the following is required:

• Teaching certification with authorization to teach in grades F-3.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is good at seeing the big picture and prioritizing accordingly. You are a problem solver who uses your knowledge flexibly. You also adapt easily to new circumstances and can take the initiative. Most importantly, you are good at collaborating towards common goals.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching grades F-3
• VFU supervisor

Employment Conditions

Permanent position (school service) 100%. Start in August or by agreement.
