Teacher/Special Teacher Wanted

Västerbergslagens Education Association (VBU) is a municipal association working on behalf of the municipalities of Ludvika and Smedjebacken. VBU provides upper secondary education, adult education, special needs education, higher vocational education, commissioned training, municipal activity responsibility (KAA), and cultural school. VBU has approximately 250 employees, around 3,000 students, and a turnover of approximately 260 million SEK. Our operations are conducted in Ludvika, Smedjebacken, and Grängesberg. About You

We are looking for a Teacher/Special Teacher who wants to contribute to students' achievement of goals and completion of education by guiding and supporting students in need of assistance. You have education and experience working with adults with physical and mental disabilities. We prefer that you have prior experience working in special education and are well-versed in governing documents. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written). A driver’s license is required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Your Responsibilities

Your task is to teach students with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities both individually and in groups. Contact with group homes, daily activities, and the home, as well as collaboration with VBU's dog daycare Glada Nosen. The position also involves working with students in SFI, and therefore competence and experience in SVA are also requested.

About the Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting by agreement, but no later than August 1. The employment form is a holiday position. We apply a probationary period of 6 months and request an extract from the criminal record upon employment.
