Special Education Teacher to Bergsviksskolan and Jävre School

Bergsviksskolan and Jävre School are part of the same principal area. Together, the area has about 300 students and 40 staff members. The development areas at the schools have focused on promoting and preventive work over the past three years, aiming to create a safe and trusting work environment for all students, where everyone has the maximum opportunities to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

As a special education teacher, you will work closely with the principal on school development, analysis, and follow-up of results. Your tasks will be performed at the individual, group, and organizational levels, which includes:

• providing support and guidance to educators in teaching with the goal of creating optimal conditions and learning environments for students' learning
• taking responsibility for pedagogical and special educational change and development work and developing the work with social interaction processes, both in the classroom and in the school at large
• identifying opportunities in teaching environments
• working with extra adaptations, special support, pedagogical investigations, and action programs from a holistic perspective
• participating in the organization's promoting and preventive work and systematic quality work via EHM.
• being part of the school's student health team where you, together with other competencies, further develop student health work

Qualifications

You must be a licensed teacher as well as a licensed special teacher/special educator. We are looking for someone who has good pedagogical insights and is well acquainted with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work.

• have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with people in various contexts and functions, both internally and externally.
• can plan and organize your work independently, with colleagues, and in collaboration with the principal.
• can set goals, work systematically, follow up, and complete activities.
• have the drive to develop the school's learning environments to optimize students' conditions for learning.
• have the ability to analyze and assess different types of data to draw well-considered conclusions to create effective solutions.
• are action-oriented and ensure that things get done.

Employment

100% Permanent employment, seasonal employment. Start date August 2025

For employment in primary school, a criminal record extract is required.
