Description

The Aviation Technology Education in Arvidsjaur is part of Sandbackaskolan's high school. The program has the capacity for about 60 students distributed over three grades. The school has national intake, allowing students to apply from all over the country. The environment at the school reflects the tranquility of the surrounding nature and community, making the study period harmonious with opportunities for an active leisure time. We are looking for a new employee for the Aviation Technology Education. You are expected to be involved in and take significant responsibility for the development of both individual courses and the school as a whole. We are looking for someone with an aviation technical background or perhaps experience as a vocational teacher for training future aircraft and helicopter mechanics/technicians who wants to help develop the education and the school.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will include planning and conducting teaching based on national and international regulations regarding Aviation Technology Education. You will also be involved in the school's various development projects. Regular tasks for a vocational teacher will be included.

Qualifications

You have:

• certification as an aviation technician, or comparable competence
• knowledge of international aviation regulations, primarily EASA part-145/66/147
• experience in maintenance and/or manufacturing of helicopters and/or airplanes
• experience in aircraft maintenance, civil and/or military
• good knowledge of Swedish and English

It is advantageous if you have:

• worked in aviation technical operations for at least five years, of which two as a certified technician
• experience from civil aircraft maintenance
• experience in teaching youth
• worked with avionics/aeronautical electronics
• held or currently hold a part 66 certificate, category B1 and/or B2
• degree from a teacher training program at a university/college
• experience in project work, preferably in a leading position

You have good collaboration skills and a strong interest in driving the operation forward. Great emphasis is placed on social skills and personal suitability.
