Job Responsibilities

Porsnässkolan is a 4-9 school located in Norrfjärden just north of Piteå with good connections to both Luleå and Piteå. We are now looking for 2 teachers in Mathematics and Science. The positions include planning, conducting, and following up on teaching in one or more subjects according to the curriculum. Assessing and/or grading students' knowledge, skills, and development. Documentation and reporting of students' results, absences, and other tasks are part of the assignment, as well as participating in parent meetings, development talks, conferences, and other meetings.

As a pedagogical leader, you have an important role in creating a safe, stimulating, and democratic learning environment for students. The work involves significant collaboration with colleagues.

Mentorship is included in the assignment.

Qualifications

For employment, a degree and teaching license in Mathematics and Science for grades 7-9 is required, as well as knowledge of the school's governing documents and curricula for your qualification.

The assignment requires good pedagogical insights and the ability to collaborate and create good relationships with students and colleagues. As a teacher, you need to feel secure and be clear in your role.

Previous work with students in need of support is an advantage. We may also be interested in candidates with other pedagogical education and can then offer a temporary employment according to the Education Act.
