ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for a high school teacher with subject competence in religion and history.

We are the leading educational center in Southern Lapland with a wide range of upper secondary education, ski high school (NIU), adult education, and adapted upper secondary school for youth and adults. Our vision is to create a driving force for lifelong learning together – brain with heart!

Do you not meet all the requirements for subject competence? Our school units and work teams are a team with different subject affiliations and competencies. Together, we complement each other and create a whole. You are warmly welcome to apply even if you do not meet the subject competence in all subjects. In addition to teaching, other customary tasks associated with the teaching profession, such as mentorship and student health work, will be included.

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a teaching license in religion and history, but we also have needs in other subjects. Experience in pedagogical work is an advantage, but not a requirement.

It is important that you have good social skills and a positive attitude towards both students and guardians as well as colleagues. We work with the premise that the student is always in focus, and as a teacher, you will have close cooperation with the school's various professionals. You should have good collaboration skills and a willingness and interest in working in teams and subject groups. It is also positive if you are interested in working with collegial learning and striving to strengthen the sense of community within the workgroup and organization.
