Lawyer with a focus on digitization

The unit for law and information management is now looking for an additional lawyer with a focus on digitization.

The unit consists of law, archives, registration, and the central medical records archive. You will work alongside various professionals such as archivists, requirements analysts, and IT architects, providing a solution-oriented legal perspective.

Your tasks

As a lawyer with a focus on digitization, you will support the entire authority with legal expertise in its development and implementation of digital solutions.

You will provide legal advice and support decision-making in IT and cybersecurity issues – both in ongoing operations and within the framework of ongoing development projects. Additionally, you will conduct training in your areas of expertise. Your focus as a lawyer will be to assist with legal expert competence in the authority's development work within digitization. Based on your deep knowledge of the regulations governing digitization efforts, you will represent the Swedish National Board of Recruitment and Assessment in cross-authority collaborations in the field of digitization. You will also support the authority's various operations in legal matters as needed.

The workplace is in Karlstad. Travel may occur as part of the job.

Your qualifications

The tasks require that you have:

• Completed Swedish law degree or equivalent
• Several years of experience in legal work within the public sector
• Experience working with IT legal issues
• Good knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation and other data protection regulations
• Good knowledge of administrative law
• Very good skills in spoken and written Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from work within total defense
• Experience participating in IT development projects

About the employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that may start with a probationary period.

The position is security classified, and therefore we conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war position.

The Swedish National Board of Recruitment and Assessment is an expert authority in the total defense area. The authority's main tasks are to enlist and register individuals liable for total defense for basic training with military service and to staff the war organization. For other authorities, assessments are conducted for selection for professions and training with special requirements related to safety and security in Swedish society.
