Business Developer for the Water and Waste Department

The Water and Waste Department belongs to the Technical Administration, and we are now looking for a business developer to assist the department in developing our routines and processes.
Our department consists of approximately 50 employees divided into administration, recycling, collection, water treatment plants, and pipe networks. We are responsible for the collection of municipal waste, hazardous waste, latrine, operation of our recycling centers, as well as handling business waste and packaging. We manage our water and sewage treatment plants and distribute water to our subscribers.
The Technical Administration works to ensure that the municipality's traffic environment is safe and accessible, and that children, youth, and the elderly receive nutritious and good food in our school activities and special accommodations. We are responsible for residents' access to clean and fresh water from the tap. We handle the collection of household waste and waste facilities, cleaning for our administrative premises, contract and rental management, and service. We also manage recreational facilities, parks, and playgrounds. Nearly 200 employees work in the administration with a focus on strategy, sustainability, collegial learning, and collaboration across boundaries - with the best interests of businesses and residents in mind!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a business developer, you will assist the department in developing and improving its processes and routines.
A significant part of the job is to work with our water and sewage map. This involves maintaining and renewing the water and sewage map and other related maps, as well as ensuring that the map material is updated and relevant for the operations. You will also participate in renewal planning of our water and sewage systems and related infrastructure, as well as perform measurements of objects and pipelines as needed, especially in the absence of colleagues.
Other job responsibilities include:
- management and maintenance of LoRa networks and associated IoT equipment such as sensors and flow measurement wells
- actively working in the IoT portal and managing other existing system portals for monitoring, analysis, and reporting
- consolidating tasks related to IoT and system operations under the digitalization strategy
- management and optimization of existing systems and tools within the operations
- coordinating and implementing digitalization initiatives
- handling and resolving various IT issues that arise, as time and priority allow.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome applicants who have post-secondary education with a technical focus or equivalent experience in the areas of the position. You also have experience and knowledge of GIS and/or digital mapping systems. It is also important that you have knowledge of IoT. As language is our primary tool, you can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. Since travel is part of the job, a valid driver's license (B) is a must.
If you have experience in water and sewage and/or infrastructure within urban planning, we consider it an advantage.
