About the workplace

BoDa Västkustvägen is beautifully located in Hasslarp, close to beautiful walking areas. Hasslarp is situated between Helsingborg and Ängelholm with good bus connections, and a bus stop just outside the residence. The operation follows the BoDa concept, which means that housing and daily activities are co-planned. Here, the staff follows the individual and works both within daily activities and in the group home.

The operation is aimed at individuals with intellectual disabilities who need support and service, where it is important that we are always available.

Job responsibilities

As a support assistant, you work to create quality care, and you are expected to work with all senses to contribute to a rich, exciting, active, and independent life for individuals with disabilities. You will be the extended arm of our residents in their daily lives, which may involve providing support in various activities, with hygiene, assisting during meals, and ensuring that medication is taken as needed.

We work with great respect for the user's integrity and tailor the support according to the user. You follow the implementation plans for each resident so that they can have the best possible life. The work is planned, documented, and closely monitored, so it is important that you feel secure in documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma from the health and care program or alternatively studied the child and leisure program with a focus on social and pedagogical work.

Furthermore, you need to:

• have basic computer skills and experience with documentation
• have a manual B driver's license
• lifting license or experience working with transfer aids.

The position also requires that you have very good knowledge of and experience with:

• working with individuals with autism at a low developmental level
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience working within both LSS and daily activities, as well as if you have training in TAKK, AKK, and TEACCH. If you also have training in CPR, nutrition, diabetes, or epilepsy, it is also an advantage.
