About the workplace

In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

We are undergoing an exciting organizational change focused on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, interventions, and services, as well as housing. We have high ambitions. But to succeed, we need you (and a few more).

To enable local solutions, we have HVB and support housing for children and youth in Helsingborg. You will belong to the Housing area within the Social Administration. The HVB and support housing operations consist of two HVB and one support housing. The HVB and support housing receive boys and girls with psychosocial issues, emerging risk behaviors, or placements after treatment, and we actively work with families and networks.

Job Responsibilities

As an employee at HVB, you will have a fun and challenging job. We work to ensure that the youth have a functioning everyday life, where structure, activities, and meaningful leisure time are some parts. We work to ensure that the youth have some form of contact/relationship with their family/network as far as possible.

Working at night is about creating calm and security, and it may involve holding individual conversations with the youth. The work also includes practical tasks similar to those found in a home.

Documentation is done in the journal system Journal Digital.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • post-secondary education in social work focusing on children and youth or other education deemed suitable by the employer
  • experience in social work with children and youth within HVB and support housing is an advantage
  • experience in areas such as family, psychiatry, neuropsychiatric disabilities, self-harm behavior, and risk behavior is an advantage.
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and good computer skills. Experience with Journal Digital is an advantage.
  • a driver's license and can drive a car.
