Job Description
SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is now seeking treatment assistants and educators for summer vacancies at night during our holiday periods weeks 25-28 and 29-32. If you have the opportunity to start as a substitute before these weeks, we see it as a great advantage.
At SiS Hässleholm, there are 43 places for security-classified boys aged approximately 12-16 years distributed across 6 departments.
Do you want to help create the vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment assistant, you work in a team together with treatment educators and treatment assistants, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the youth and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means that you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life.
Our operations run 24/7, and you who work at night are responsible for the well-being and safety of the youth and have the main focus on promoting their sleep routines and being there for them when needed. The night is for many the most difficult time of the day, and sleep problems are very common among our youth, which makes a safe adult who can offer support in the form of conversation or other assistance a very important piece of the puzzle. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes, among other things, to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and participate in working towards a constantly better SiS.
This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable boys in a difficult life situation. The work can vary greatly in intensity from very calm nights to nights that require a lot from you as a treatment assistant but is also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
You always work awake nights with us on shifts scheduled between 21:00-08:00 on weekdays and 20:45-08:15 on weekends. Regular staff work according to a rolling schedule in teams of five treatment assistants and educators. There is also always a night coordinator present who is primarily responsible for all decisions.
