Located centrally in Malmö at Ahlmansgatan 1, there are two adult psychiatric outpatient clinics specializing in bipolar disorder and emotionally unstable personality disorder. In addition to medical treatment, evidence-based psychological treatment programs such as DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and MBT (mentalization-based therapy) are offered. Some patients have issues that require various forms of curative interventions, work rehabilitation, and municipal collaboration. Currently, we have about 45 employees in roles such as specialist doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, social workers, peer support, and medical secretaries. We are now welcoming a social worker for a 12-month temporary position!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you will be the unit's psychosocial and social-legal resource for patients and staff, actively participating in the treatment work based on your psychosocial competence. You will conduct psychosocial counseling and assessments as needed, collaborate with municipalities, other authorities, and treatment homes, and convene and participate in staff and SIP meetings. Follow-up and supportive conversations and other treatment interventions may also be relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have a degree in social work. If you belong to a licensed professional group, proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. For non-licensed professions, good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is required. We consider it an advantage if you are a licensed healthcare social worker.

Furthermore, we see it as an advantage if you have previous work experience in psychiatry, a basic psychotherapy education (step 1), and good knowledge of Malmö city's various services and interventions for patients with mental illness. As a person, it is important that you can collaborate with different professions in healthcare as well as organize your own work and make independent decisions. Since we are keen to find the right person for the position, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
